Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 1628 Vassar Street about 11:55 p.m. on June 27.
The suspect, Michael Stuart Driver, 46, is charged with murder in the 232nd Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Driver is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Jesse Reyes, 48.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Stroble and Detectives A. Finlay, K. Aloysisus, B. Stephens and E. Camacho reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and were flagged down by a male who identified himself as the shooter. The shooter stated he was involved in a physical altercation and during the altercation he produced a gun and discharged it, striking the male victim.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
After further investigation, the shooter, Michael Stuart Driver, was arrested and charged with murder. He was booked into the Harris County Jail.
