Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and wounding of another that occurred at 7740 Bretshire Drive about 1:30 a.m. on June 7.
The identity of the deceased victim, 37, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Rodriguez and E. Camacho reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found a male with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers learned another male, 35, had suffered at least one gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital in a private vehicle.
Both victims were attending a party at the above address when a verbal altercation led to a shooting. At this time, there is no known suspect(s).
