| Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 9290 Woodfair about 1:20 a.m. today (February 5).
The victim, John Murphy, 30, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers L. Kauffman and A. Ferrell reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Murphy had been shot several times. The officers also saw two suspects fleeing on foot. The officers pursued the suspects and detained one juvenile male, who was later released. The victim, Murphy, was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to the hospital.
Further investigation and witness statements determined Murphy and the suspect were arguing prior to the shooting.
The investigation is continuing.
