WHAT: Apartment fire.
WHEN: May 15, 2025, at 8:18 a.m.
WHERE: 5600 North Freeway, 77076.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
CAUSE: Unintentional.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a second floor apartment. They made entry and extinguished a fire in the kitchen. A primary search was completed with no on found. The nearby units were checked for extension and the utilities were controlled. The apartment of origin sustained fire and water damage, with the unit below having some water damage. The American Red Cross was requested to assist a displaced resident. 37 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 31, 34, 15, 30, 58 and 67.
