WHAT: Residential high-rise fire.
WHEN: May 15, 2025, at 1:19 p.m.
WHERE: 4385 Cougar Village Dr. 77004
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
CAUSE: HFD Arson investigators ruled the cause as accidental.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming out of the vents in a residential high-rise building. They found and extinguished a dryer on fire, and fire in a vent in the ceiling. The smoke was removed from the building and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire. 41 personnel responded to this incident, including crews from Stations 25, 23, 8, 26, 46, 18, 40, 7, 18, 24, Rescue 42 and Rehab 42.
