The fatal shooting of a man at 4002 Corder Street about 5:55 a.m. today (November 27) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male, 43, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The male shooter, 33, was transported to an area hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Stroble and Detective K. Collier reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and learned two males got into a confrontation inside an apartment, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported both men to the hospital where one was pronounce deceased.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and it was determined this case will be reviewed by a Harris County grand jury.
