Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one woman and the wounding of another at 5100 Reed Road about 6:45 p.m. on Sunday (March 10).
The identity of the deceased victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The other victim, 26, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Brooks and C. Davidson reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the above address and found one female unresponsive in the median of the roadway. She suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased by paramedics. A second female sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound(s) and was transported to an area hospital.
Witnesses reported seeing a male suspect shooting at the victims before fleeing in a vehicle.
