Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and wounding of three other persons at 7242 West Fuqua Street about 1:15 a.m. on Sunday (June 25).
The identity of the deceased victim, 17, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The three other adult victims – two men and a woman – were transported to area hospitals with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds. HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Bowling and J. Jorsch reported: Officers were dispatched to a shooting call outside a bar/lounge at the above address and found a female victim who suffered a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Paramedics transported one other victim to a hospital. Officers learned two other victims were taken in private vehicle to the hospital. Witnesses stated one or more suspects in a vehicle fired shots at the victims and then fled the scene. At this time, there is no known suspect, vehicle description or motive in the incident.
