Houston police have learned the identity and cause of death of a woman found in the 4400 block of Wilmington Street about 2 p.m. on Jan. 18.
The victim is identified as Leslie Obi, 43. An autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences ruled her death as a homicide. HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Gardner and L. Brooks reported: HPD patrol officers responded to a report of female’s body found in a wooded area near the above address. Autopsy results released on Wednesday (Jan. 25) confirmed the victim was Ms. Obi and that she had suffered trauma to her body. Obi was reported missing by family members on January 12. She was last seen at approximately 8 a.m. on January 11 and searches were conducted for her following her disappearance.
