WHAT: Residential Structure Fire.
WHEN: August 17, 2022 at 11:43 p.m.
WHERE: 2600 block of Anita St. 77004.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $40,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find fire coming from a detached residential structure. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. All units were pulled back when the porch began to sag. The fire was contained and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. HPD and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office also responded. Crews from Stations 8, 46, 7, 24, 25 and Rehab 17 responded to this incident.
