Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a possible robbery suspect at 1111 Berry Road about 1:50 a.m. today (June 29).
The identity of the male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Ferrell and S. Overstreet reported: Officers were dispatched to a shooting call outside a bar at the above address and found a male with multiple gunshot wounds. A gun was lying nearby and the male’s vehicle was running. Officers began CPR on the male until HFD paramedics arrived and transported him to Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Witnesses and evidence recovered at the scene indicated the male appeared to be attempting to rob or assault someone in their vehicle in the parking lot. The male was shot by the individual he was attempting to rob or assault. That individual fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. Detectives want to question the individual about his role in the shooting.
