Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a crash at 9200 Wheatley Street about 5:25 p.m. on Monday (June 27) has died.
The identity of the victim, 52, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD North Patrol Division officers reported:
The victim was driving a brown Lincoln Town Car northbound at the above address when he failed to maintain a single lane after possibly experiencing a medical episode. The Lincoln struck a GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling southbound.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the Lincoln’s driver to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital. Doctors pronounced the man deceased on Tuesday (June 28).
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. The investigation is ongoing.
