| Houston police have learned the identity of a man found fatally shot at 1855 Wirt Road about 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday (March 8).
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has identified the victim as Said Octavio Diaz, 17.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found Mr. Diaz lying in the middle of the parking lot. He had been shot multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Diaz deceased. Witnesses in the area stated they heard multiple gunshots sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m.
A preliminary investigation determined Diaz was reported missing by family members the day he was found.
At this time, there is no known suspect(s) or motive.
