WHAT: Abandoned House Fire
WHEN: March 3, 2022 at 1:09 a.m.
WHERE: 4800 block of Boicewood, 77016
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $40 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a small 1-story abandoned house totally involved with fire. They made a defensive attack and protected a nearby exposure. The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes and a search was completed. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Crews from Stations 19, 34, 39, 43, 56 and 30 responded to this incident.
