| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6300 Werner Street about 10 p.m. on Wednesday (July 7).
The identity of the victim, 25 to 30 years of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Meek and Detective M. Perez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 306 Sunnyside Street and found the victim lying on the eastside of the roadway near 6300 Werner Street. Houston Fire Department paramedics attempted medical aid, but then pronounced the victim deceased. The man had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
At this time, there are no known witnesses or suspects.
