| Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 6100 State Highway 6 that occurred about 4:55 a.m. on Sunday (May 16).
The identity of the male victim, 44, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer J. Wu reported:
The driver of a white Kia Forte was traveling southbound on State Highway 6 when he lost control of the vehicle, drove into a grassy ditch on the west side of the roadway, struck a concrete culvert and came to a rest between a utility pole and iron fence. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
