Houston police are investigating the shooting of a woman at 16119 Samoa Way about 6:10 p.m. on Saturday (October 3).
The victim, 19, was transported by private vehicle to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives M. Combs and A. Barker reported:
The victim was dropping off a relative at the residence at the above address and was sitting in her parked vehicle in the driveway. According to multiple witnesses, the driver of a black Chevrolet Impala stopped on the street in front of the home and an unknown individual rolled down the back window. The unknown suspect pointed an assault rifle out the window and fired multiple shots toward the house. One of the bullets went through the back of the victim’s car and struck her in the lower back. The unknown suspect(s) then fled the scene.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
