| Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 2840 Shadowbriar Drive about 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday (May 20).
The suspect, Hilton Drexler Caicedo (b/m, 20) is charged with murder in the 209th State District Court. He is accused in the death of Wilson Martinez, 19, who died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Turner and Detective A. Bock reported:
A male and female entered an apartment at the above address. Mr. Martinez got into a verbal altercation with the male, which resulted in the male shooting Martinez several times. The male and female then fled the scene in a small red SUV or Jeep-style vehicle.
Further investigation identified Caicedo as the suspect in this case. He was taken into custody today (May 22) and subsequently charged for his role in Martinez’s death. The female was also detained, questioned, and then released with no charges.
