| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1500 Bay Area Boulevard about 6:15 p.m. on Thursday (October 31).
The identity of the male victim, 23, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer P. Ngo reported:
The victim was operating a black Yamaha motorcycle eastbound near the above address when he struck a green Nissan Xterra SUV traveling westbound and attempting to make a left turn at the intersection of Saturn Lane. The victim died at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, who remained at the scene, showed no signs of impairment.
A preliminary investigation indicated the driver of the Nissan failed to yield the right of way to the motorcycle.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
