Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 791 Bateswood Drive about 1:10 a.m. today (April 18).
The victim, Miguel Angel Lopez, 22, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers C. Grahmann and S. Ragsdale reported:
Mr. Lopez was driving a green Chevrolet Suburban – with two juvenile male passengers – in the apartment complex parking lot at the above address. When Lopez exited his vehicle to check for a possible mechanical problem, three unknown Hispanic males approached him and started firing gunshots. Lopez then drove his vehicle to the 1500 block of South Kirkwood Road where Harris County Precinct 5 deputy constables were flagged down and notified of this incident.
Paramedics transported Lopez to a hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds he sustained.
