3rd UPDATE: Third Suspect Arrested, Charged in June Fatal Shooting at 5919 Beldart Street

Charges have been filed against a third suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 5919 Beldart Street about 7:50 p.m. on June 27.

The male suspect, 16, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a charge of capital murder.  Juvenile suspect information is not releasable.  The two other suspects, Kevontae Marquise Kemp, 17, and D’ Andre Vasquez, 19, are charged with capital murder in the 176th and 177th State District Court, respectively.  Booking photos of Kemp and Vasquez are attached to this news release.  The victim is identified as Plezher Wooley, 18.  HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective M. Providence reported:  HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and found Mr. Wooley lying on the front patio.  He had suffered a gunshot wound.  HFD paramedics transported Wooley to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  At that time, there was no known motive or suspect(s) description.  Further investigation identified Vasquez as a suspect in this case and, on July 25, he was arrested by officers with the HPD Southeast Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team.

Subsequent investigation led to the identity of Kemp as a second suspect.  Kemp was taken into custody by HPD Southeast Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team officers on September 20 and then booked into the Harris County Jail.

On Monday (Oct. 9), Southeast Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team officers arrested the juvenile male and he was subsequently charged.
