WHAT: 3-Alarm warehouse fire with precautionary shelter-in-place.
WHEN: Today, November 19, 2021 at 8:50 a.m. (HFD dispatch time).
WHERE: 885 Wakefield at Alba, 77018 with precautionary shelter-in-place from N. Shepherd to Ella Blvd / 34th St. to 43rd St. due to heavy smoke.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
CAUSE: Not available.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a furniture warehouse on fire and have upgraded the fire to a third-alarm. More than 100 firefighters are on scene. The incident is currently active and citizens are asked to avoid the area due to a precautionary shelter-in-place and heavy emergency traffic. HFD Arson investigators will be determining the cause and origin of this fire.
