A suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 925 Bunker Hill Road about 1:15 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 14) has been arrested.
The suspect, Dionate D. Banks, 29, was arrested on Saturday (August 27) by members of the Dallas Police Department SWAT (Special Weapons & Tactics) team. Banks is charged with murder in the 209th State District Court. A previous photo of Banks, who is in custody in Dallas, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Gregory Shead, 24.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Brown and M. Condon reported:
Mr. Shead and a suspect got into an altercation outside a bowling alley at the above address. During the altercation, the suspect fatally shot Shead. The suspect, described only as a black male, fled the scene.
The investigation led to the identity of the suspect as Banks and he was subsequently charged. Further investigation led officers’ to his whereabouts and investigators, in cooperation with the Dallas Police Department, were able arrest him.
