HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at a residence at the above address and found Mr. Maldonado lying in the front yard.  He had sustained several gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Maldonado deceased.

According to witnesses, Maldonado was walking along the sidewalk when a male suspect driving a vehicle stopped next to him.  A tall, slender male exited the vehicle and shot at Maldonado several times.  As Maldonado fled, the suspect chased and caught up to him.  The suspect then shot Maldonado several times, got back into the vehicle and fled eastbound on Woodridge Drive.

Further investigation identified Romero-Munoz, Montalvo and Bonilla as suspects in this case and Montalvo as the suspected shooter.  On Monday (Feb. 7), Romero-Munoz and Bonilla were arrested without incident.  Montalvo was in jail on a previous unrelated charge.
