WHAT: 2-Alarm townhome fire.
WHEN: March 7, 2023 at 5:20 p.m.
WHERE: 8300-8400 block of Wilcrest Dr. 77072.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $800,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a 2-story townhome on fire and requested a second alarm. They made an offensive attack and conducted a primary search. Due to the conditions, crews switched to a defensive attack until the fire could be controlled. The fire was extinguished and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 73, 69, 82, 2, 28, 68, 78, 83, 10, 51, 60, 76, 75, 8, 37, 24, 57, 33, Rescue 10 and Rehab 17 responded to this incident.
