An off-duty HPD officer was working an approved extra job at the Mondongo Restaurant at the above address when he saw two males attempt to leave the business with an open container of alcohol.  The officer approached the suspects and told them they could not leave the location with open containers.  The suspects became upset and, as they got into the vehicle and left the location, one of the suspects discharged a weapon into the air and in the direction of the officer.  The officer was not struck.

The suspects, described only as two Hispanic males, fled the scene in a black, four-door BMV SUV.
