WHAT: Warehouse Fire.

INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $606,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $350,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Failure of equipment or heat source.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find smoke coming from the eaves and roof of a large 1-story warehouse. They forced entry to find and quickly controlled a fire in the processing area. Crews identified the contents of a nearby chemical storage tank that was venting product through a valve and ruptured hosed. They stopped the leaks and cooled the tank down. A primary and secondary search of the warehouse were completed with no on found. Additional units were requested to complete extinguishment of fire in the concealed void spaces. The utilities were secured, and hazmat deemed that the chemical runoff was not an environmental hazard, however firefighters conducted decontamination when leaving the hot zone. Crews from Stations 31, 67, 58, 15, 34, 4, 13, 17, 30, 50, 67, Hazmat and Rehab 17 responded to this incident.
