WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: March 16, 2025, at 8:31 p.m.
WHERE: 4500 block of Edfield St. 77051.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.

DAMAGE: $80,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene to find fire coming through the attic of a vacant 1-story house. They made an attack on the fire and conducted a primary search. Crews quickly contained the fire and notified CenterPoint to control the utilities. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. 42 personnel responded to this incident, including firefighters from Stations 26, 23, 20, 25, 35, 46, 24, 55, 36 and 30.
