Charges have been filed against two suspects – one who is still wanted – in the fatal shooting of a man at 5400 Harrisburg Boulevard about 8:15 p.m. on April 10, 2020.
The suspects, Robin Javier Tellez Vasquez (H/m, 18) and Daniel Echeverria (H/m, 18), are charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Tellez Vasquez is not in custody. Echeverria was arrested on April 6.

The victim, Isaac Padilla, 19, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Collier and J. Stroble reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a business parking lot at the above address and found Mr. Padilla suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses stated Padilla was fighting with two suspects, which led to a physical altercation. The fight then escalated to a suspect pulling a gun and shooting Padilla.
The suspects ran from the scene and continued to fire a pistol near an open business. They got into an unknown vehicle occupied by two additional suspects and fled the scene in an unknown direction. Witnesses provided medical aid to the victim prior to arrival of paramedics.
Further investigation led to the identities of Tellez Vasquez and Echeverria as the suspects in this case.
