Charges have been filed against two adult males and one juvenile arrested in the fatal shooting of one male at 8301 Willow Place Drive about 2:10 p.m. on March 1.

Two suspects, Andres Garcia, 20, and Joshua Richards, 17, are both charged with capital murder in the 176th State District Court. Booking photos of the suspects are attached to this news release.

A third male suspect, 16, was referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on a charge of capital murder. Names and booking photos of juvenile suspects are not releasable.

The deceased victim is identified as Miguel “Mickey” Gonzalez Jr., 18.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Roberts and Detective J. Wallschlaeger reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive male lying in the courtyard with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.

A preliminary investigation determined two additional males with gunshot wounds were transported by private vehicle to an area hospital in stable conditions. One was later identified as Garcia.

Further investigation determined Mr. Gonzalez was lured to the above address with the belief he was purchasing items from the suspects. Upon arrival at the apartment complex, he was robbed at gunpoint by the suspects.

Additional investigation identified the suspects as Garcia, Richards and the juvenile male. All three suspects were arrested last Friday (March 28) and subsequently charged for their role in the shooting.
