Charges have been filed against four suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 5322 Glenmont about 7:35 p.m. on March 2.
The suspects, Steven Martinez, 21, Ariel Israel Martinez, 20, Christopher Armando Henriquez, 18, and Andrew Alexander Reyes, 19, are all charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. Their booking photos are not available for release at this time.
All four are charged in the death of Carlos Cabeiales, 19 who was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Barrow and J. Stroble reported:
The victim was initially involved in a verbal dispute with several suspects at an automotive storage lot at 5403 Glenmont. During the argument, a few vehicles arrived at the back of the storage lot. Several suspects armed with guns exited the vehicles.
The disturbance moved across the street to a vacant lot at 5322 Glenmont behind a bar. Witnesses heard several gunshots and saw a suspect running across the street and entering into a white pickup truck. Approximately five vehicles then left the vacant lot.
Additional investigation by the HPD Homicide Division, HPD South Gessner Crime Suppression Team along with the Texas Department of Public Safety led to the identification of S. Martinez, A. Martinez, Henriquez and Reyes as suspects in this case. All were arrested without incident. Investigators believe there may be more suspects involved in this shooting.
