Charges have been filed against two suspects in the fatal shooting of a man found at 11001 South Gessner Road about 7:20 a.m. on September 20, 2021.
The suspects, Kendrick Ray Caldwell, 30, and Derrick Scott, 27, are charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. The latest booking photo of Caldwell and a 2015 booking photo of Scott are attached to this news release.
Caldwell and Scott are accused in the murder of Isaac McNeil, 20.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:
A City of Houston employee was opening the gate for a park at the above address and discovered the body of the victim lying in the grass beside the entry gate. The victim had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
Further investigation identified Caldwell and Scott as the suspects in the case. Officers with HPD’s Northwest Crime Suppression Team arrested Caldwell on Tuesday (April 12). Scott is currently incarcerated in Sacramento, California.
