Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted for stabbing a man at 9492 Kempwood Drive about 11:05 p.m. on May 14.
The suspect, Omar Alexander Raymundo-Gamarro (H/m, 31), is charged with aggravated assault-serious bodily injury in the 183rd State District Court. He remains at large. A photo of Raymundo-Gamarro is not available at this time.
The victim, Edvin Aguilar Morales, 36, suffered a cut to the face and was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives V. Habukiha and R. Naughton reported:
Mr. Morales and a male suspect were hanging out in the parking lot of a gas station at the above address when the suspect stabbed Morales. According to Morales, the attack occurred because he was talking about the suspect’s mother.
Further investigation led to the identification of Raymundo-Gamarro as the suspect in this case and, on Tuesday (May 21), he was charged with aggravated assault.
