Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 12777 Ashford Point Drive about 12:10 p.m. on October 31.
The suspect, Tarquasha Nashae Robinson (b/f, 25), is charged with murder in the 230th State District Court. She is accused in the death of Yurum Fernandes, 27.
A photo of Robinson, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Hollohazy and Detective C. Sharp reported:
Mr. Fernandes was with his friend, who was in a relationship with Robinson. Robinson came to Fernandes’ apartment and got into an argument with Fernandes’ friend. Fernandes intervened and ushered his friend inside the apartment and shut the door. As Fernandes shut the door, Robinson fired a gunshot through the door, striking Fernandes. Paramedics transported Fernandes to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation identified Robinson as the suspect in this case and she is currently at large.
