Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the death of a man found at 10854 Nellsfield Lane about 2:25 a.m. on November 20.
The suspect, Rodolfo Hinojosa (H/m, 44), is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court. A 2020 booking photo of Hinojosa and a photo of a vehicle similar to the one in which he fled, are attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 38, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. LaFour, J. Escobar, A. Barr and S. Sylvester reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting at the above address and found a pickup truck that had crashed into a tree. The victim was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat. HFD paramedics pronounced the man deceased from multiple lacerations and a gunshot wound.
A preliminary investigation indicated the victim left a nearby residence in the 10800 block of Shannon Mills Lane, which is where the initial incident is believed to have occurred.
Further investigation identified Hinojosa as the suspect in this case and, after consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, a murder charge was filed. Hinojosa is believed to have fled in a silver or gray Chevrolet Tahoe with Texas license plates LFF-9239.
