UPDATE: Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Stabbing at 5499 Braesvalley Drive

Houston police are searching for a suspect charged in the fatal stabbing of a man at 5499 Braesvalley Drive about 12:20 a.m. on Wednesday (April 30).

The suspect, Anton Addison, 18, is charged with murder with in the 263rd State District Court. A photo of Addison, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 19, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Castillo and M. Perez reported:

Officers responded to a report of an assault in an apartment complex courtyard at the above address.  When they arrived they found a male (victim) lying in a breezeway who had suffered multiple stab wounds.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

Witnesses told officers there was an argument between two males prior to a physical altercation. The suspect then ran to a nearby abandoned apartment before fleeing the scene.

Further investigation identified Addison, the brother of the victim, as the suspect in this incident and he was subsequently charged for his role. At this time, he is not in custody.
