Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 7222 Bellerive Drive about 4:30 p.m. on November 28.
The suspect, Jefferson Eduardo Acosta-Bravo (H/m, 21), is charged with murder in the 351st State District Court. He is not in custody. A photo of Acosta-Bravo is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the killing of Roilan Martin Mesidoro-Hernandez, 27.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Wohlgemuth and Detective J. Gardner reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and were alerted by a male at the front gate attempting to drive the victim to an area hospital. The victim had been shot multiple times. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
A preliminary investigation determined the victim and two other men were sitting on an apartment patio when two unknown male suspects approached the group and fired multiple shots at them. The victim was struck multiple times. The other two males were not injured.
Further investigation identified one of the suspects as Acosta-Bravo and he was charged for his role in the shooting.
