UPDATE: Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 5910 Schroeder Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 5910 Schroeder Road that occurred about 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday (October 8).

The suspect, Timothy Walker, 24, is charged with murder in the 482nd State District Court. Walker is currently at-large and believed to be driving a black, 2019 Chevrolet Malibu bearing Texas license plates #VCT1721 in the area of southeast Houston. A photo of Walker and his vehicle are attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Harry Boone, 59.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective J. Meister reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive man, later identified as Mr. Boone, on the sidewalk. He had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

A preliminary investigation and witness statements determined Boone was playing dominoes with friends when an unknown suspect approached the victim from behind and struck him on the head. According to the witness, the men exchanged words, and the suspect suddenly pulled out a pistol from his pocket and shot the victim. He then fled the scene.

Further investigation identified the suspect as Walker and, on Wednesday (Oct 9), he was charged for his role in the shooting. Walker remains at-large.
