UPDATE: Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 1206 Barker Cypress Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a female at 1206 Barker Cypress Road about 9:05 p.m. on Tuesday (February 4).

The suspect, Dawud Parker, 44, is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.  A previous booking photo of Dawud, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Alisha Kalee Parker, 48.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Montealegre and G. Rangel reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a convenience store at the above address and found an unresponsive female with gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a black BMW sedan.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the female, later identified as Alisha Parker, deceased.

Further investigation and evidence from the scene developed a possible suspect, seen exiting from the passenger seat of the BMW.  A surveillance photo of the possible suspect, also attached to this news release, was released to the public on Wednesday (February 6).

The suspect was later identified as Dawud Parker, Alisha’s brother.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Parker was subsequently charged.
