| Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 10205 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) service road about 7:50 p.m. on June 14.
The suspect, Veronica Jayci Robles, 23, is charged with murder in the 177th State District Court. A January 2022 photo of Robles, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Davion Roberts, 19.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Hale and K. Amri reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting in the parking lot of a business at the above address and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the man, later identified as Mr. Roberts, to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Witnesses stated they heard gunshots and saw a vehicle, described as a brown or tan Chevrolet Trail Blazer with blue side panels, fleeing the scene.
Further investigation identified Robles as the suspect in this case. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was consulted and Robles was subsequently charged in the incident. She remains at large.
