UPDATE: Suspect Charged in February Fatal Shooting of Male Found at 2000 Firnat Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect in the fatal shooting of a juvenile male found at 2000 Firnat Street about 11 a.m. on Feb. 4.

The suspect, Zourian Stephon Lewis, 18, is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court. A February booking photo of Lewis, already in custody on an unrelated incident, is attached to this news release.

He is accused in the death of Carlos Lugo, 14.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Heaverlo and J. Jorsch reported:

Officers responded to a field at the above address after a body was discovered.  Paramedics pronounced the person deceased.  The body was in a state of decomposition and an autopsy was ordered to determine the person’s identity and cause of death.

The autopsy identified the victim as Carlos Lugo and revealed he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Lugo was reported missing on January 23 and last seen in the 2000 block of Tidwell Road.

Further investigation identified Lewis as the suspect in this case and he was subsequently charged on Saturday (June 3).  Lewis was in the Harris County Jail and charged in a separate murder that occurred at 9955 Buffalo Speedway on November 17, 2022.
