UPDATE: Suspect Charged in 2019 Death at 4003 Wayne Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a man following an incident at 4003 Wayne Street about 8:30 p.m. on March 24, 2019.

The suspect, Shannon Michael Bradley (w/m, 36), is charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court.  He is accused in the death of Hubert Heatherly, 79, of the above address.

A booking photo of Bradley, who is in custody in the Montgomery County Jail, is not available at this time.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Burrow and Detective A. Lopez reported:

Houston Fire Department personnel were dispatched to a residence at the above address for a man reported to have fallen from his wheelchair outside the residence.  The man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased on March 27.    An autopsy revealed the man, identified as Mr. Heatherly, had sustained traumatic injuries to several parts of his body not consistent with a fall from a wheelchair.  HPD Homicide detectives initiated an investigation into Heatherly’s death.

Detectives were advised Bradley, a former resident of the above address, was arrested in Montgomery County in June 2019 on an unrelated aggravated assault charge.  Further investigation identified Bradley as the suspect in this incident and he was subsequently charged for his role in Heathelry’s death.
