Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found at 832 West Greens Road about 10:50 p.m. on November 12.
The male suspect, 16, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Juvenile suspect information is not releasable.
He’s accused in the death of Jeffry Martinez Menjivar, 18.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim unresponsive sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. He had suffered apparent multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the man to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation identified the juvenile as the suspect in this incident. He was arrested on Tuesday (Nov. 28) and admitted to investigators his involvement in the incident. He was subsequently charged on Wednesday (Nov. 29).
The investigation is ongoing.
