Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 3113 Anita Street that occurred about 8:40 p.m. on Monday (January 24).
The suspect, Aldrain Fortson, 60, is charged with murder in the 178th State District Court. A booking photo of Fortson is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the death of Josue E. Hernandez, 23.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective R. Naughton reported:
Mr. Hernandez and a female witness were in front of the above address and talking when they were approached by a male suspect. The suspect began attacking Hernandez as the witness ran away. The witness had recently dated the suspect and believes he may have been jealous because she was talking to Hernandez.
Further investigation identified Fortson as the suspect in this case. He was arrested on Tuesday (January 25) without incident and subsequently charged for his role in Hernandez’s death.
