Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 9789 Beechnut Street about 7:35 p.m. on September 14.
The suspect, Amarion Bailey (b/m, 17), is charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court. He is accused in the death of Francisco Nava Hernandez, 48, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Hollohazy and Detectives C. Lamont and L. Lange reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of a strip center at the above address and were advised that paramedics pronounced Mr. Hernandez deceased. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound.
Witnesses and evidence indicated Hernandez got into an argument with two suspects as they were sitting in Hernandez’s vehicle. The argument escalated when one of the suspects pulled a gun and shot Hernandez. The suspects fled the scene in a tan, four-door sedan.
On September 24 Bailey was arrested by the HPD Westside Patrol Division -Crime Suppression Team for felony evading arrest and unlawful carrying of a weapon. Homicide investigators questioned him about his involvement in the shooting and he was subsequently charged for role in the incident.
