Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 9555 Crofton Street about 9:05 a.m. on November 21, 2021
The suspect, Infant Timothy Brown, also known as “Tim”, 20, is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court. A booking photo of Brown is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the death of Kevin Franklin, Jr., 22.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Brooks and Detective B. Nabors reported:
Mr. Franklin was standing outside his apartment at the above address when he was approached by a male suspect. Franklin and the suspect had a brief conversation and when Franklin turned to walk away, the suspect shot him multiple times. The victim was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation identified Infant Brown as a suspect in this case and, last Friday (Jan. 28), he was arrested without incident and subsequently charged for his role in Franklin’s death.
At this time, the department does not believe there is a continuous threat to the general public.
