Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 902 Woolworth Street

Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 902 Woolworth Street about 1 a.m. on March 20.

Alfonso Gonzalez, 18, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the 184th State District Court. A booking photo of Gonzalez is attached to this news release.

The victim, Dominic Partida, 17, was pronounced deceased at Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Kauffman and A. Ferrell reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address. Upon arrival, they found Mr. Partida, who had been shot in the chest, near his home. He was transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to to the hospital where he died.

Further investigation identified Gonzalez as a suspect, and on Monday (April 11), he was arrested without incident and charged for his role in the shooting.

At this time the department does not believe there is a continuous threat to the general public.
