Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a male at 7500 Glen Manor Drive about 9 p.m. on Saturday (April 19).
The suspect, Brayland Whitehead, 18, is charged with murder in the 209th State District Court. A booking photo of Whitehead is attached to the news release.
The victim is identified as Brandon Price, 18.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective J. Meister reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found an unresponsive male with gunshot wounds lying in the street. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased.
At that time, there was no known suspect description or motive in the shooting.
Further investigation identified Brayland Whitehead as the suspect in this case. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and Whitehead was subsequently charged for his role in this incident. He was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail.
