Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found at 6200 West 34th Street about 8:20 a.m. on November 15.
The suspect, Jorje Valles, 25, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the 351st State District Court. A booking photo of Valles is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Micah Middleton, 28.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Jorsch and D. Lunceford reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a vehicle crash at the above address. Upon arrival, Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male driver, later identified as Mr. Middleton, deceased at the scene and advised the vehicle had multiple bullet holes. Further investigation determined MIddleton had been shot.
At that time, there was no known motive or suspect(s) description.
Further investigation and evidence from the scene identified Valles as the suspect in this case. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and charges were filed. On Monday (November 25), Valles was arrested by HPD SWAT and Northwest Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team officers without incident and was booked into the Harris County Jail.
