Charges have been filed against a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 5950 Antoine Drive about 1:25 a.m. on Tuesday (March 26).
The suspect, Darneisha Hall, 34, is charged with murder and unlawful carry of a weapon by a felon in the 487th State District Court. Hall’s booking photo is attached to this news release.
She is accused in the death of Jorish Sherman, 66.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Brooks and Detective C. Flora reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found Mr. Sherman inside an apartment suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased.
Officers identified Hall – Sherman’s stepdaughter – as a suspect in this incident and subsequently arrested her. She was charged and booked into the Harris County Jail
